Get to Know Me

Let’s journey back to the early 2000s, to San José, Costa Rica, where I first opened my eyes to a world alive with lush green landscapes and warmth. Raised by a single mother alongside my twin brother, my early years were shaped by summers in Guanacaste, a rural peninsula where life flowed with the land’s rhythm. There, I learned the essence of “Pura Vida”—embracing simplicity, joy, and the richness of every moment, a philosophy I carry into all I create.

At seven, my life shifted. My family left our tropical home for New Jersey, trading familiar beaches for suburban hustle and winters’ sharp bite. In this new world, my love for storytelling blossomed. Television, literature, and film became my companions, teaching me English and helping me blend two cultures into a voice uniquely my own.

Adolescence introduced me to digital storytelling. Social media became more than a pastime—it was a window into how art, communities, and movements took shape online. I grew fascinated by the strategies behind a single post’s ability to shape brands, spark trends, or ignite change.

As a senior pursuing degrees in Filmmaking and Strategic Public Communication, I’ve transformed my passion into my craft. My experience includes producing short films, focusing on post-production, and contributing to strategic projects as a Strategy Intern at Ogilvy. Through roles like Marketing Intern at Rutgers and freelancing for LMI’s launch at Climate Mobility Summit during United Nations High-Level Week, I’ve honed my skills in multimedia storytelling, market research, and creative content production, preparing me to excel in dynamic environments.

Guided by “Pura Vida,” I strive to live fully, tell authentic stories, and forge connections that transcend borders. From Costa Rica to New Jersey, my journey is one of resilience, creativity, and boundless possibility.
